Privacy Policy

MSLE AI (“the App”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a nutrition and calorie tracking application powered by AI, owned and operated by Vipra Design Labs Pvt. Ltd., located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use MSLE AI, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

This Policy is designed in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 of India.

Account information: your name, email address, and authentication details when you create an account.

Nutrition data: meal photos you capture, foods logged, calorie and macronutrient records, dietary preferences, and nutrition goals.

Body and profile data you choose to provide: age range, weight, height, activity level, and goals (e.g., lose weight, maintain, build muscle, improve nutrition) used to personalize calorie and macro targets.

Health integrations: if you connect Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android), we read only the categories you authorize (such as steps, active energy, and weight) to provide context to your nutrition tracking.

Usage and device data: app interactions, device type, operating system, and diagnostic logs used to keep the App reliable.

To recognize food in your photos and estimate calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fats.

To generate personalized calorie and macro targets and nutrition insights.

To maintain your meal history, daily nutrition dashboard, and progress trends.

To improve recognition accuracy and the overall quality of the App, using data without identifying details and aggregated data wherever possible.

To communicate with you about your account, product updates, and support requests.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Meal photos you take are processed by AI models to identify foods and estimate nutrition. Images are used solely to provide and improve this functionality.

We take reasonable measures to ensure photos are not used to identify you personally and are not shared with advertisers.

AI estimates may not always be accurate. MSLE AI is a general wellness app, not a medical device, and does not diagnose, treat or give medical advice.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers that run MSLE AI, only for the purposes below, and under confidentiality and data-protection obligations:

• Google Gemini (through MSLE AI's own secure server or through Rork's AI service): analyses meal photos, nutrition labels and meals you describe in words, and generates MSLE Intelligence replies. Data is sent only after you tap "Allow" on the in-app AI consent screen. You can turn this off at any time in Profile > Intelligence > AI data sharing.
• Rork: the platform MSLE AI is built on, including sign-in with Google or Apple.
• Supabase: secure cloud server for your account and Groups, and for securely sending meal photos, typed meal descriptions and MSLE Intelligence messages for AI processing. Your meal logs, MSLE Intelligence conversations and health data are stored on your phone.
• RevenueCat: manages your subscription status.
• Apple App Store and Google Play: process subscription payments. We never receive your card details.
• Open Food Facts: when you scan a barcode, the barcode number is sent to Open Food Facts to look up product nutrition. No personal data is sent.
• Apple Health and Health Connect: only the categories you choose to allow, and only on your device.

We may also disclose information when required by Indian law.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account and data at any time in the app (Profile > Delete Account) or by following the steps on our Delete Account page (msleai.app/delete-account).

We apply technical and organizational safeguards that meet industry standards. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may access, correct, or delete your personal data, and withdraw consent for optional processing (such as health integrations) at any time through the App or by contacting us.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you also have the right to grievance redressal regarding your personal data.

MSLE AI is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and if we learn that we hold information about a child, we will delete it.

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
